Still in the chain of journeys “ up the forest down to the sea” – the second picnic of St. Nicholas School on the land of Tam Ky, Phu Ninh is memorable with not only children but the school’s parents and teachers!

From the beginning, the trip was promising with 3 sports – Triathlon and other exciting activities. In the spirit of “no winning no losing”, in a extremely difficult weather conditions, you have overcome, nobody quit!

Although the heavy rain, you have done the relay on the zigzag, narrow track. The children have also successfully completed the “Green Race” section at 50 meters, which need to unite to overcome the kayak, or run with the team.

Despite the loss of electricity, the teams still remained the unabandoned mental, making the wood stove by brick to cook the Vietnamese family meal during the rainy night. To the children, this meal is immensely hard to forget. It is the feast that the children need to cook in the circumstances of challenges, which is a feast full of ethnic and simple souls with vegetable shrimp soup, fried eggs, vegetables fried with garlic, fish steam sauce.

The team in the cooking section has been trying to complete the criteria of the jury including: speed, taste, presentation and hygiene and safety. The competition is not only part of the student’s contribution but also the challenge of appealing to the teachers-the “chefs” from South Africa, the USA, the Philippines, and the whole team of parents meeting 3 region of the country,…

It is impossible not to honor the outstanding teams in the competition:
RELAY: TEAM 7

KAYAKING: TEAM 1

SWIMMING: TEAM 2

COOKING:
TEAM 3

TEAM 6

An indispensable activity on the picnic night that is the campfire. Children experienced a warm time beside the campfire, doing the BBQ, enjoy the meal and have fun dancing singing with DJ.

Then, along with the first picnic, you are sailing around the lake so that “photographers” can save all beautiful moments of nature in their own perspectives and feelings…
This trip, children tried hard, did your best to win the circumstances. However, the goal of Phu Ninh Tam Ky field trip was different from the Bach Ma – external awards are the medals and other rewards, you also get more – it was a lesson in teamwork, belief in yourself, is the will and the strength to accept and overcome difficult challenges.
Mr. Alex, sports teacher touched said: “You really did it! That’s more meaningful than all! ”

Mr. Alex and students
This certainly was not a journey with “red carpet” but on the contrary, this journey has challenging thorns, not the time to enjoy “choice viands”. This trip also brought back the vietnamese custom with braised goby fish, shrimp soup pennywort, wild vegetables sautéed with garlic and fried egg. This journey, than a trip, this is what you have done, have received!

St. Nicholas school is extremely excited by the achievements and spirit of this second field trip Let’s look back at memorable moments of Phu Ninh picnic – Tam Ky!
